Special Apparel Needs Inc. (SAN) is a nonprofit organization with 501c3 status that strives to support patients as they work towards recovery and reintegration into society. One of our ongoing initiatives is to ensure that all our patients and residents have access to special apparel that meets their unique needs during their rehabilitation process, providing clothing for unique needs throughout their ADL.

Project Overview
The Clothes Donation to Rehab Patients Program aims to provide much-needed apparel for every need to individuals undergoing rehabilitation. This initiative will alleviate a basic need for these patients, aiding their recovery and promoting a sense of dignity and care. The program fosters community involvement and enhances support for individuals in rehab facilities.
Through collaboration with local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers, this project seeks to gather, process, and distribute clothing for unique needs efficiently. The program is scheduled for a six-month period, during which we hope to reach over 500 patients across numerous rehabilitation centers.
Objectives
Collect 5,000 clothing items suitable for all seasons, including special apparel that caters to individual preferences.
Ensure distribution to at least 10 rehabilitation centers.
Engage a minimum of 100 volunteers in sorting and distribution activities.
Implementation Plan
Phase 1: Organization and Planning
Identify and partner with local businesses and organizations.
Recruit volunteers through community outreach and social media.
Set up donation collection points at strategic locations.
Phase 2: Collection and Sorting
Conduct donation drives every weekend for two months.
Organize sorting events at community centers with volunteers.
Inspect and categorize clothing items based on size, type, and condition.
Phase 3: Distribution
Coordinate with rehabilitation centers to assess specific needs.
Designate delivery dates and transportation methods for clothing.
